I am trying to install scope on old Savage 3C rifle. It has drilled and tapped holes on the side of receiver for this. I got the base and the rings combination for it. Everything looks fine, just one little problem. The bolt handle interferes with one of the rings. The bolt handle has been bend at the factory, just not enough, the interference is about 30 mils. I have no idea how to include photos with the post. I don't want to grind the handle, this would ruin the looks of it. Is anyone have experience of bending bolt handles? I would assume some kind of heating required, but I have no clue beyond that. Any help would be appreciated.
