Dear Piscataqua Fish & Game Club Members,

    From; Kenneth Twombly Sr,

The 2018 annual election is rapidly approaching and I look forward to seeing all of you on April 17, 2018. For our long standing members many of you know that I have been with the club for close to 19 years, and for our new members I would like to take the opportunity to share a little bit about myself.

Throughout the course of my life I have believed in volunteering my time, and giving back to the clubs I belong to and to our community. I previously worked with the Veterans association in Raymond NH, an organization committed to giving back to the soldiers who have fought and valiantly served for our country, while there I held the office of Master at arms. During my 19 year tenure at the Fish & Game club I have chaired the Membership Committee, Range Committee, Property Committee and Chief  Hunter Ed and bow Hunter Ed Instructor for the New Hampshire Fish and Game Dept., served on the Board of Directors for 5 years. I have been a dedicated member of the fishing day committee and currently hold the office of Vice President of the club and have for the past 4 years.

I have a deep love for our club, and this year I will be running for the office of Club President. I believe my prior experience with our club, other organizations, a love for the outdoors and educating the next generation of shooters makes me qualified to lead us in the years to come. I would like to graciously ask for your vote this coming election and I am running on the following principles:

    • Family values
    • Respect for all club members
    • Respect for the community, and giving back to the community
    • Encouraging the teaching of safe and responsible firearms use and continued education for all who enjoy the sport.
    • Teaching our younger generations the joys of shooting sports and outdoor activity
    • Continuing to grow and expand safe and knowledgeable hunters through the hunter education program
    • Supporting the continued growth and expansion of the Walter Burns Memorial Fishing Day tournament.
    • Enhancing the esthetics of the club, and prioritizing maintenance of our club grounds.
    • Making sure we are set up to pass the club along to future generations, from both financial and legal perspectives
    • Expanding membership and club activities in a safe and responsible manner to enhance the livelihood of the club

I thank you for your time, and kindly ask you for your vote on Tuesday 4/17/2018, I look forward to seeing you all on Election Day,

    Sincerely,

    Ken Twombly – Vice President

Now I am confused!  did you resign or didn't you ?

At the regular monthly meeting we were told by the BOD spokesperson  you handed in your keys and resigned at the BOD meeting which I assume their was some discussion of the matter .Seemed  pretty official ... you became a non member.

Then you re-appear  as the VP at the monthly meeting as if nothing happen ,no explanation to the club members.

Now the latest is that , "well the BOD never voted to accept the resignation" , if that's the case the BODs members own the club membership an apology .

Either the BOD didn't know what they were doing when they authorized the "Resignation" to be announced at the  regular monthly meeting   [forgot to vote slipped their minds ] or someone changed their mind  and now the BODs is trying to "spin it", 'walk it back" ,"back fill it" or were untruthful and hoped no one would notice the mistakes.

Simple question...did they announce the resignation it at the monthly meeting or not ?

Really looking for a simple explanation at the next meeting  ,it would be kind of respectful to rank and file members.... i think they are worth it.
